Once again Author Tiece has done it again!! Checkmate was like watching a movie on paper. The book flowed smoothly and the transition between the scenes was flawless. The character development started in the 1st chapter and continued throughout the story.Candy's love for Monty was evident from the 1st page, yet she was consistently pushed away until the time is right. But when she gets him, things don't flow as smoothly as she thought. They are taken on a wild roller coaster ride that will test each of them individually and collectively as a couple. The twists & turns had me on the edge of my seat and kept me wanting more.
This was an excellent book that was well written and kept me wanting more. I can't wait for part 2 to come out on Kindle. Great job Author Tiece.

First off I would like to say Ms. Tiece job well done. This was an excellent read. I was hanging on every word and was really into the storyline. I like the way Candy and Monty eventually came together and how Monty finally gave up his extra curricular activities. Now Monica has ulterior motives that I see will become a problem however the author did such a great job that you was just amazed by the ending. I recommend this book and cant wait to read other books by the Author.
Candy and Monty are my favs I loved them both. Candy is a young girl is madly inlove with monty since grade school but monty doesnt really look at her that way until she is at age he really takes notice of her and they become inseparable after one night. they had they're ups and downs but they still made it. i think rico with his back stabbing ass got what he deserved cause he played with fire and although he was a lil sneaky Monty still looked at him as a brother . loveeddddd this book
This book was excellent. It kept you interested from start to finish. I only found one typo! Now that's what impressed me. Not really a typo. A s was left off a word. I was happy that this book ended perfectly. If there is a part 2, great, if not, excellent ending.
I don't know what kind of penis Monty had but they payments he was getting from women for sex were crazy!! Candy finally got her dude, but she also got all the bs that came along with him. This was a good book but I'm not really looking forward to reading the others in this series
This was a great story and I couldn't put it down. Monty has good intentions for his master plan even if it calls for him spreading his goods all over town. He doesn't do emotional attachments and has no problem making it know to the many women who cross his path. But in comes Candy who from day one made it known and clear that she wanted that place in his life and have that spot in his heart. With determination her dreams finally come true but can she really handle all of his extra activities. And will he pas the crown of being the man whore in town off to his best friend Rico or will that cause more problems. Can't wait to read part 2!!
I swear Tiece did her thing with Checkmate!!! Monty was too much! I guess you really couldn't knock his hustle since he was doing what he needed to care of his family. Starting out with the book, you would've thought Candy was just another fast ass teenager but I soon learned otherwise. With Nancy and Will's situation I could only say wow! All Monty's pawns were too much but Paris took the cake. Monica was crazy! Guess she wasn't expecting Monty to say what he did. Candy leaving was just what was needed for Monty realize he needed to get his act together or risk losing her and the baby. As for Rico, who would have ever thought he didn't learn his lesson from dealing with Paris. Monica played him in the worst way. Mona about to go in on Rico!(
I will give the author credit for coming up with this interesting theme to say the least. Here we have Monty, who gets paid a hefty sum to please his clientele. He choses this profession over selling drugs and he is his own business man so who could ask for anything more. He even schools his best friend Rico how to take over the business when he decides to throw in the towel. Monty refers to his clientele as pawns in this chess world of strategic moves which allows him not to get caught up in his feelings. At the end of the day business is business. He reserves his feelings for his one and only queen, Candy. Candy has his heart but Candy feels she can no longer compete with the pawns and wants out. What will Monty do and which position will he play read and find out? I will read the second part to see what the ultimate checkmate will play out.
